How to make a duet video without TikTok
TikTok's duet button only works with videos already on TikTok — and only inside TikTok. Build the duet yourself in a collage app and you can duet with any clip in your library — a friend's video, your own old post, a song cover — and publish it on every platform at once.

Save or record the source video
Get the clip you're dueting with into your Photo Library — a video a friend sent, your own earlier post, or footage you recorded.
Film your half
Play the source on another device and record your part with the front camera — singing along, playing the other instrument, reacting, or acting the second role.
Combine both in a collage app
